facial implant is made of a soft, pliable synthetic material called
ePTFE. This material has been safely used in more than 3.5 million

Your
doctor will insert the implant below the surface of your skin
through a small incision. This procedure is often done under local
anesthesia and is usually performed in your doctor’s office.

Your body's own tissue holds the implant in place.
The tube-shaped design promotes the growth of your tissue into
the tube.
The
implant remains in place below the surface of your skin but it
can be easily removed it you desire.

Although the length of the procedure can vary with the number
of implants used, it generally takes less than one half hour.

What
to expect.
Since
each person's experience with the SoftForm® facial implant
procedure may differ, it's important to talk with your doctor
about what you can expect following the treatment.
Immediately
Following Treatment
Treatment results are visible immediately, bruising, or some discomfort
may patients may experience a sensation off the implantation site.
Up
to 1 Week Following Treatment
Most swelling and bruising should disappear. Many people will
not be able to tell that a procedure has been done. Although you
may always be able to feel the implant under your skin, softening
of the implant is anticipated over time,

to 4 Months Following Treatment
Healing is complete. Continued softening of implant is anticipated.
Is
SoftForm facial implant right for you?
Ask
your doctor if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment
with the SoftForm facial implant. If you have noticeable facial
wrinkles or desire definition of your lip border and want long-lasting
results, SoftForm facial implant may be for you.
SoftForm
facial implant is not an appropriate treatment for fine, superficial
lines; to smooth these lines your doctor may recommend another
procedure, such as treatment with Zyderm® or Zyplast®
collagen implants.

Enhance
your treatment results.
To further enhance their results, some patients have used the
SoftForm facial implant together with other aesthetic procedures
